Has anyone hiked the John Muir Trail without resupplying? - john muir trail map
JMT will go, next year, and if I do what I would do without gas stations. Once you do that? What is packaged, how long you do not trip you recommend, where they camped, etc. Do you carry a can?
Oh, and I will do, from north to south, Yosemite call to Whitney Portal.

Ugh - 17-20 days without gas stations to be tough with so much change in altitude. I suggest you reconsider, because it supplies a lot of good places, but your choice. Most people after 3 weeks, I know people that have done, 14 days (regular walkers, runners, adventure or not crazy) speed, but 17-18 seems to be average. I have a sort of Whitney, who came from north to south in 17, so it's almost the same in both directions.
A bear boat is mandatory - no chain to cut. The Rangers want to see your boat.
